Set on "quiet, campuslike grounds" five miles from DC, this glossy "high-rise near I-395" runs shuttles to National Airport and the Pentagon City mall/Metro stop; the "well-thought-out" rooms have "upscale baths" with "granite counters" and the staff is mostly "friendly", but complaints arise over the "lack of evening entertainment", the charges for parking and Internet and some difficulty getting problems solved.

Front desk staff was helpful and friendly.
Overall shabby appearance and lack of charm. It resembled the worst Marriott hotels for business travelers.

This hotel is a B- business class experience. The restaurant is essentially an Applebees and the overall feel is 3 star and mediocre. This hotel will probably only appeal to people who are traveling on business and don't really care about anything other than getting rewards points. ...read more

The room was spacious.
The pool and amenities did not seem sanitary.

The staff at this hotel were fairly friendly and the room I was in, at the end of a hall, was spacious; however, it was not the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. The pool was disgusting, and in the small exercise room, one of the five exercise machines was broken. Overall, a poor to average experience. I expected more. ...read more

Balcony and
quiet room.
Smoking room, asked for non-smoking. Awful smell, slept with the balcony door open all night.

Sushi bar in the lobby.
No where close to Old Town, couldn't walk anywhere!

Hotel was great and the Sushi bar was awesome. The only problem with this hotel is you have to take a cab everywhere.

Comfy bed.
Excessive extra fees for parking and internet.

Room was clean but nothing more special than what one would find in a good holiday inn. Charges an extra 10 bucks for a day use of internet and 25 for parking.

Convenient free shuttle service to Hotel and 2 Metro stations.
Small room, modestly furnished, amenities were limited.

The hotel is attractive and the free shuttle service to the airport and 2 metro stations was a huge plus. The room, however, was very small and not spectacularly furnished. We forgot toothpaste and the front desk informed us that we could buy some in the gift shop. Unfortunately, the gift shop closes at 9, after which you can walk to the 7-11 for any toiletries you forgot. I've stayed at many lower-scale hotels that will accommodate guests who forgot toothpaste and include a continental breakfast including a lower-scale Hilton chain. ...read more

Close to were I needed to be.
Carpet stains, hair in the bathroom and
old furnishings.

I booked this hotel last minute for a conference in DC. Easy to get to but once I arrived in the room the carpet was stained, iron board had stains, hair in the bathroom. Room furnishings were old. The hallway carpet was dirty and discolored laundry cart was left out all night. I will never recommend this hotel and will never stay at a Hilton ever again ...read more
